			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Phones are a terrible thing to be a slave to. When you&#8217;re chairside, you&#8217;re protected. But, when you&#8217;re not, the firing starts.</p>
<p>Here&#8217;s how I guard my time:</p>
<p>-	If I don’t recognize the number on caller ID, I don’t answer. Period. You may go so far as to never answer your phone. I know several entrepreneurs that don’t unless it’s a pre-arranged call. Otherwise, it’s an unnecessary interruption and a distraction.</p>
<p>-	If I do recognize the number and can’t be interrupted, I ignore it. (Wife included and she knows. If it’s a 911 situation, she rings once, hangs up and calls back.)</p>
<p>-	If someone doesn’t call when they are supposed to, within a 10 minute window, I don’t answer. Why? It’ll run over into my other time slot or block of productivity and interfere with something unrelated. It’s not fair, so I let my friends at AT&#038;T handle it with voicemail.</p>
<p>Use these to better manage your life and your time&#8230;especially when you&#8217;re most vulnerable!</p>

To Be More Productive While You Sleep!</strong></p>
<p>One of the best tricks I learned at a young age was to put the power of my subconscious to work on tedious or especially difficult problems. Here’s how I do it:</p>
<p>Just before I go to bed at night, I review a problem, question or creative (especially these) project I’m working on.</p>
<p>As I get sleepy, my subconscious gets to work on the problem. All this while keeping my breathing regulated, heart beating and the usual repairs my body needs every night.</p>
<p>But, there’s a trick…you have to TELL your subconscious what you need and what you want it to do.</p>
<p>This from Mr. Gary Bencivenga (one of the sharpest advertising minds since David Ogilvy): “Great subconscious mind, I don’t want to work on this matter too hard, so please just figure this out for me by the morning, while I sleep peacefully.”</p>
<p>Then, let it go completely and…drift off to sleep.</p>
<p>The next day, I’ve got a vast pile of ideas to pull from. I’ve learned to act quickly on these ideas, because, as Gary B. puts it, they’re like, “slippery fish,” and you’ve got to do something with them before you forget them.</p>
<p>This is a true Business Anarchist strategy&#8230;One you won&#8217;t be able to live without when you start using it!</p>

<p>I gotta hand it to a new client of mine and ClearPath® Member, Dr. Alan Brunelli, in Richardson &amp; Celina, TX. (A referral by the way, from Dr. David &amp; Laura Anderson, partners on a project with me – THANK YOU to you both!).</p>
<p>Alan’s never done a lot of marketing. So, he’s new to all this. And, if there’s a time to get nervous, it’s when you hand someone you have just met (me) a lot of money to (hopefully) fill your practice…you know, put some butts in ops, and hope the guy knows what he is doing (I do.)</p>
<p>Today, I got an email from him. Just a few minutes ago. Turns out, of the postcards he just dropped (we prepped ‘em so all he had to do was drop them locally to get a local postmark on them), he’s already booked two patients. We’re not talking 2500, 5000 or 10,000 postcards. Just 1,250 is all. And, the day’s young. He’ll at the very LEAST, double up and hit 4. And, this is the very first mailing. The good news, if the average pt value holds ($1500), he’s so far in the black already, it’s not even funny.</p>
<p>So for Alan, the tension’s lifted, he’s feeling more comfortable, and I can see what his future looks like…BRIGHT. Especially since people will be calling for the next two weeks off this postcard and I am guessing he’ll end up with anywhere from 5 to 10 new patients. A good deal for sure.</p>
<p>Would you mail 1250 postcards every other week to get 5 to 10 new patients? I would (and do!).</p>
<p>It’s not rocket science. It’s NOT internet, google, yahoo, SEO, blah, blah, blah. It’s good ol’ fashioned, predictable direct mail.</p>
<p>If you’re ready to shift into high gear and get started for 2010, let me know. We’re here to help. And, since we’re small, I will work with no more than 10 offices at a time…And, the available slots are down to about 3 as of now…</p>
