How to Grow & Change Your Business Overnight
I was listening to an online seminar recently and the main guy was from Australia. He was telling a story to exhibit a point. The point was, don’t waste your time on tasks that have a low ROI value to your business and don’t do tasks that you don’t have a unique ability to do.
This is such a simple point yet I talk to dozens of clients in the span of a month and they are all talking to me about things they really have no business doing.
This concept is best exhibited by the story he told about his youngest boy carting around his older sister’s clothing. His immediate thought was the boy was up to no good. (Gee, boys are like that?!) So he asked his son. The boy replied, “Aw dad, she pays me to put clothes away.” So, dad goes to the daughter, “What gives?” Her reply, “Dad, you pay people to mow grass, clean the house and do laundry. You pay me to look after my brother. I pay him to take care of my clothes!”
So you see, the daughter just copied her father. She outsourced the things she wasn’t good at or didn’t want to spend her time doing, instead, focusing on that which drives revenue that she is good at.
My question to you: What are you doing that is NOT driving revenue to the bottom line that is taking you away from your unique ability to generate “rain” for your business?
If you’re the dentist technician do-ing the work, that should be your focus. If you are the dentist working on adding 3 or 4 more offices, then if you’re doing dentistry, you’re focused on the wrong things.

If you just re-focus your energies where your UA or unique ability lies, you’ll see an instant boost in revenue, given your other support systems are in place.
