The World's Best Marketer(s)?
It’s been over ten years since I’ve graced Anchorage, AK with a visit.
I just landed at Ted Stevens Intl Airport and I have been taking doubletakes all evening.
This is a first class facility all the way. Very modern. My guess is since it’s an Intl airport some major pork got this place built. It got me thinking about all the Reps and Senators that imbibe in pork barrel politics.
It takes some serious marketing to be a successful politician. Their entire life is about marketing and positioning their constituency and themselves to tap the pig spigot. Ted Stevens was among the best and he brought a ton of the lower 48’s money to Alaska.
Would securing the kind of money Ted has for AK in the prvt sector world qualify him for one of the greatest marketers of all time??
Anyway, too bad it’s a short visit. I’d love to explore, but will love more to get home after 5 days in Juneau!
